• これは、バップでは名曲扱いで、実に多くの演奏があります。基本的な題材なので、バップの忠実な承継者であるHampton Hawesや、Tete Montoliuといった人達は、事あるごとに採り上げています。
• 元は映画の主題歌で、それにEllaおばさんが特別出演して歌っているらしい。
• ジャズメンならば誰でも知っている曲なので、いわゆるジャム・セッションのような初顔合わせの場でも、簡単なヘッド・アレンジで直ぐに演奏できる、言ってみれば重宝な曲になっています。
• 以下に、データベースにある50近い演奏がリストされています。有名な演奏で抜けているのは、MJQの「Concorde」、それにBud PowellのRoost盤でしょうか。AMGのサイトによれば、世の中には500以上ものヴァージョンがあるとか(^^;
