• ウエスとは違うが、しかし人気では競えるギタリスト。ギブソンを愛用して、エレキ臭さは抑えた、ジャズ・ギターらしいジャズ・ギターの音が魅力です。正統派で、名盤が多くある。この人が居ると何故か安心して聞けるのが、良いことか悪いことか、良いに決まっている。個人的に好きなのは、「Live at the Vanguard」「とMoon and Sand」です。
• ギターだから、サイドメン物は多い。Chambers, Kelly, Sims等との好演が良いが、その他の物も捨てられない良さがある。
