• ガレスピー・バンド出身のピアニスト。「Junior」で注目され「、At the Village Vanguard」他の名作があります。確か、ソウルフルピアノとか言うのも持っていたが、今見当たらないので、CDを買い直しました。「Softly as in a Morning Sunrise」以下は20年ほど経過した近年の作品で、Nelsonは良いと思うので殆ど集めましたが、代表的にはこの3つくらい。まだまだ元気、と言うよりも、自分のスタイルはこれと確信した、とでも言うべき明解さが際立つ、心地よい作品ばかりです。
