• ベテランのピアニスト。近年の好調さは目をみはるものがあり、今もっとも引っ張りダコ状態。ゲッツの晩年に最後まで付合った。新旧どんなスタイルでも、ジャズであれば馴染む弾き振りで、聴きどころの多い人。
• この人のサイドメン物は、今絶好調で引っ張りだこなんで凄く多い。それでもEddie Harris，Stan Getzとの盤に良いのがある。実は結構古くからリーダー作があり、色々と聴いてみましたが納得が行かず、やはり「人には旬があるのかなぁ」と悟りました。
