このDonteというクラブで聴いたことにより、Norman GranzはJoe Passと専属契約を結ぶ気になったそうです。それと少し時期は違うにしても、「なるほどこれは惚れ込んだのも無理はない」と納得できる、素晴らしいコンビです。ピアノレスのギター・トリオが、ここまで上質なジャズを聴かせるとは、嬉しい誤算でした。自らの不明を恥じるとともに、このJoe Passという「Virtuoso」の実力に、今更のように感嘆しました次第です。2枚組でも、一気に聴きとおせます
