マカロニ・ウェスタンと言えば良いのか、ダーティー・ハリーと言えば良いのか、兎に角そのClint Eastwoodはジャズ好きで有名で、確か少し前にジャズでも有名なCarmell市の市長もやっていましたネ。その彼が、自分の好きなジャズのコンサートをやる機会を探っていて、Carnegie Hallでそれをやっちゃった時のライブ盤。無論、一人で考えたわけではないんでしょうが、上記のような選曲と言い、出演したジャズメンと言い、「こりゃ、付け焼刃じゃないのね」とよく判るコンサートのようです。最後に「10 After Hours」では、ブルース・ピアノまで弾いています。先日、Wowowで放映がありましたが、正にモノホンの「ジャズ狂いぶり」と見えました。そういうのとか、何枚かCDを出している息子を抜け目無く一寸出すとか、御愛嬌もありますが、それがピッタリと決まっているだけに、ホント参りました。
